The Festival of First Fruits in Erala, a small Xaan realm, is at risk of being canceled due to supernatural events that have unsettled the citizens. Many attribute the famine and misfortunes that have befallen the city to an old story resurfacing from oblivion, the legend of the warlock Marut and his insatiable lust for power. Adding fuel to the fire is the fierce struggle between two powerful feuding families that threatens to drag Erala into total chaos. In this module for 7th-level PCs, the adventurers must prove to be skilled investigators, diplomats, and warriors to emerge unscathed from the mire of Erala and uncover what is happening.
